On January 1, 2008, customers in this class who remain with Duquesne Light will see a significant increase in their cost of electricity. This is in addition to increases that these same customers saw in 2007 due to increased utility distribution rates. Duquesne Light, in conjunction with the PA Public Utilities commission, recently approved new electricity rates for electricity consumers who remain with Duquesne Light as of 1/1/08. We can tell you what these new rates will mean to you in terms of dollars and cents. For most customers, we can then find you a competitive supply offering that will save you money when compared to this new rate. We can often find rates that are actually below your current rate thus resulting in you not only avoiding the price increase, but actually experiencing a savings from what you are paying now. (Customers in the GL and L rate classes and the largest customers in the GM rate class)

Premier Power has a variety of service offerings tailored to the individual needs of the larger energy consumer.

1) We offer help with finding the best fixed rate for our customers by negotiating directly with suppliers for your individual load on your behalf. Our knowledge of the energy markets and supplier strengths and weaknesses along with your own knowledge of your individual energy needs creates the best opportunity for you to get the lowest rate possible in the market.

2) We also offer a "block and index" program for certain customers. This program allows the large consumer to take advantage of the shorter term energy markets that can often produce a lower overall spend for electricity for the customer. This program is designed for the more sophisticated energy consumer who can stand to have a certain amount of variability in their energy price from month to month.
