Sales Manager - Energy Consulting
Join one of the nation’s largest energy consulting companies as a Consulting Sales Manager. We provide comprehensive energy consulting services to commercial, industrial, institutional, and governmental organizations. The Consulting Sales Manager will be responsible for developing and managing an entry-level sales team while working alongside our team of experienced energy analysts, consultants, and advisors. Renewable Energy Analyst
This is an exciting opportunity to join a dynamic team of experienced energy consulting professionals.
The Renewable Energy Analyst will support our Renewable Energy Consulting Services Team working with Fortune 1000, university, and government clients to execute on their sustainability, energy, and financial risk management goals. The Renewable Energy Analyst will work with a core client team to support various quantitative, qualitative, and commercial diligence items in support of the Consulting practice. Specifically, this will include market research, client diligence, preparing client-facing presentations, financial modeling, and customized, client-specific energy and sustainability Request for Proposal support.
This position requires the ability to creatively problem solve using a quantitative analytical and qualitative skill set to address a client’s energy and sustainability challenges. The analyst will have great interpersonal skills to work collaboratively with a team as well as a working proficiency leveraging large datasets in excel and distilling market data to actionable insights to inform client discussions and presentations.
The Renewable Energy Analyst must be team-oriented and able to work independently on various client initiatives simultaneously. This requires the ability to manage multiple priorities and effectively communicate with a broader team. This position will work directly with clients of the Consulting practice, colleagues within the Consulting team, and across the Nextera enterprise.
Job Requirements:
- Support client delivery team with onboarding and an ongoing client education process that involves client due diligence, presenting renewable energy solutions, sustainability goal setting, and corporate ESG goal setting, as well as presenting on the dynamics of United States power markets, including wholesale and retail energy markets
- Support the client delivery team with building and leading client Requests for Proposals (RFP) for different renewable energy solutions, including building relationships with retail energy suppliers and renewable energy developers.
- Prepare and present financial models with the client delivery team to analyze and summarize client RFP results and assist in the project selection/due diligence process on behalf of the client
- Assist with the analysis and development of energy and renewable energy solutions on behalf of clients to inform sustainability planning and portfolio solution development
- Assist the client delivery team with regulatory insights and market developments that impact client energy and renewable energy strategies to ensure proposed strategies are current with regulatory changes and market dynamics
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree; Master’s Degree (preferred)
- 1–4 years of professional experience working in the energy, finance, or consulting sector. Applicants with a background working as a renewable energy developer, energy consulting, energy finance, or energy supply company are preferred.
- Working knowledge of North American energy markets, specifically wholesale/retail power markets, and renewable energy development.
- Working knowledge of corporate finance and financial modeling
- Proficiency working with MSFT systems, primarily, Excel, Power BI, PowerPoint, and Word

The ideal candidate must have a proven track record of identifying and closing business opportunities with excellent organization and communication skills. They must have the ability to work independently, attend trade shows and networking events as needed, as well as potentially speak at these events. There is 60% travel to be expected with this role.
