Client Development Manager

We are seeking a Client Development Manager who has a passion for making a difference in the Retail Energy market. This position is responsible for prospecting new business opportunities in the large commercial sector for electricity and natural gas procurement, presenting energy-related services, and acquiring newly signed clients. Critical measurements will include booked new business, revenue growth, client retention, and overall growth of the business. The ideal candidate must have a proven track record of identifying and closing business opportunities with excellent organization and communication skills. They must have the ability to work independently, attend trade shows and networking events as needed, as well as potentially speak at these events. There is 60% travel to be expected with this role. As we continue to grow, we need high caliber, experienced individuals, with a winning attitude.

Candidates with inside broker or channel sales experience are highly preferred.

Job Overview

This job is responsible for managing a designated territory and identifying and developing opportunities to sell energy products and services to large commercial, industrial, national, and public sector customer segments. Employees in this role manage the ongoing business relationship with the assigned customer base by maintaining regular contact, promoting incremental products and services, resolving customer issues and renewing expiring contracts; implementation of new plans, and managing existing accounts to ensure retention and growth targets are achieved.

Job Duties & Responsibilities

  • Identifies, prospects, and develops qualified opportunities in targeted markets and/or customer segments
  • Develops, maintains, and manages a sales pipeline in support of assigned business goals and objectives
  • Creates sales plans and strategies for prospective customers including understanding and analyzing prospect operations, objectives, and risk tolerances
  • Educates customers on their energy options
  • Prepares and delivers presentations
  • Negotiates and closes energy supply agreements
  • Develops and maintains customer relationships
  • Ability to meet attendance and storm duty requirements
  • Performs other job-related duties as assigned

  • Bachelor’s or Equivalent Experience
  • Experience: 4+ years
  • Valid driver’s license

Strategic Partnerships Manager

We are seeking an experienced professional who will be responsible for developing and managing the channel partner and affinity group programs and relationships within the renewables consulting business for NextEra Energy Resources.  This will include developing a channel partner strategy and associated programs, prospecting and negotiating new partner relationships, and ongoing management of those channel partner relationships.  Qualified candidates will have proven experience in this space and can be based remotely in the mid-Atlantic or Northeast US.

Job Overview

Employees in this position are responsible for sourcing new sales opportunities within a specific territory as well as managing existing business to business partner accounts.  Employees in this role support Channel Partners throughout the sales process in all sales-oriented activities.

Job Duties & Responsibilities

  • Builds strong relationships with partners and sub-agents to maintain and expand our database of prospects and customers within your assigned territory including on-boarding of new partners, reporting and training
  • Researches accounts, additional locations and identifies additional opportunities for sites too far from network to help win current opportunities
  • Works with Channel Lead to identify new partners and sub-agents, supporting all channel events
  • Supports Channel Partners in selling company products, focusing on qualifying, quoting, and closing business
  • Teams with Channel Partners to build, review and forecast sales
  • Performs other job-related duties as assigned

We are seeking a motivated sales professional who will be responsible for selling high-value commercial energy performance contracting solutions in an assigned territory. In this role, you drive profitable revenue growth while meeting operating targets and develop account management plans to build and expand customer relationships.

Job Duties & Responsibilities

  • Develops and executes strategic and tactical sales plans to drive profitable revenue growth while meeting operating targets
  • Collaborates with marketing, operations, legal, finance, and other key stakeholders to improve customer acquisition, service, and retention
  • Develops account management plans and builds and expands customer relationships to maximize long term account growth
  • Monitors the market and territory and proactively prospects to develop new business opportunities and a strong pipeline
  • Understands new technologies and products and services and sells a full portfolio of energy-related solutions
  • Maintains an accurate and updated opportunity pipeline and provides accurate forecasting information by utilizing CRM system
  • Executes the sales process consistently and fully applies consultative sales methodologies and techniques to drive competitive differentiation and deal closure
  • Monitors external environment, competitive trends, and Voice of the Customer (VOC) information to communicate to marketing about new product/services
  • Ensures proper controls and compliance in accordance with corporate policy and procedures
